Dr. Rahbar is a professor at the University of Washington (UW) Department of Radiology (US).
A board-certified radiologist, he works in the breast imaging section at the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) and UWMC – NW.
His clinical practice at Fred Hutch and UWMC – NW includes digital mammography, digital breast tomosynthesis (or “3D mammography”), breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and image-guided procedures of the breast.
Dr. Rahbar’s primary research interests include the identification of MRI features that can be used to improve management of ductal carcinoma in situ, the use of non-contrast MRI techniques to identify and characterize breast cancers, and the identification of MRI markers of risk of developing breast cancer.
Dr. Rahbar is Co-Chair of the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group Breast Committee to develop impactful breast cancer research trials, help integrate imaging into therapeutic trials, promote ancillary imaging research from legacy trials, and to foster primary imaging trials that are impactful to breast oncology care.
Dr. Rahbar also serves as UWMC Chief of Service and Co-Director of the Quantitative Breast Imaging Lab (QBI).
At this meeting international rewarded physicians from all over the world with special interest in breast pathology will be invited for giving state-of-the-art lectures concerning clinical imaging, interventional procedures and related radiological-clinical topics.
